I caught the first moment of spring.

As I walked to the back of my block 3 or 4 multi-coloured parrots and one white cockatoo flung themselves ecstatically up from the trees and a patch of white light illuminated it all.

It was definitely the first moment of spring.

A short moment and a nebulous moment and a fleeting moment, but for sure, the first moment of spring.

Mid July is officially mid-winter here in Australia, so for sure there is still much coldness to come, as winter slowly displaces itself as it must.

But I caught the first moment of spring.
