In The Heart-Essence of Vimalamitra, Longchenpa says,

“It is taught by the Lama Vimalamitra, that buddha will never be attained on the paths of the nine graduated approaches by engaging in their view, meditation, and conduct. Why not? Because in the views of the nine approaches, there is only intellectual conjecture that is sometimes convincing and sometimes not, but which can never induce the naked essence.”

“This is what we know about matter: A few types of elementary particles, which vibrate and fluctuate constantly between existence and non-existence, and swarm in space, even when it seems that there is nothing there, combine together to infinity like letters of a cosmic alphabet to tell the immense history of galaxies, of sunlight, mountains, woods, and fields of grain, of the smiling faces of the young at parties, and of the night sky studded with stars.”

1. In the same way that Mind and Matter are One
– indivisibly timelessly co-arising –
so is Consciousness and Imagination.

2. We are all that ever-creating creation,
We being created as that endless creation,
by the One who creates the power to create.

3. Prior to consciousness the world was not.
And prior to consciousness is impossible to conceive.
The world and consciousness arise as One,
And that One sustains all that is.
We are that ever-present consciousness.

‘When the light of consciousness removes the darkness of ignorance, then one sees and the two (ed: consciousness and the I) are then seen as one. “I and the father are One”.

You can never know until it is your experience directly. When the light of your own consciousness reveals itself to itself in your own experience.

The Self needs to recognize itself by itself first before it can recognize itself in others’
